Develop a world class safety vision, strategy, and operating practices that will be adopted by and executed with the business leaders across all six divisions and the corporation. •Attract, hire, train and retain the best available talent in building safety support across the business. •Develop and maintain outstanding internal customer relationships at executive levels and throughout the organization. •Provide leadership direction, coordination and oversight for the company’s safety culture and safety operations. •Liaise with and lead safety and business leadership interaction with federal, state, local, and 3rd party regulatory and governmental agencies to include OSHA; IMSA; and the FERC. •Liaise with the Board of Directors and Chief Operating Officer on all safety and risk management activities and reporting. •Evolve and implement world class metrics, reports, and data related to projects and/or management of safety in the business. •Develop and maintain the company’s safety training platform in construction and engineering competency in existing areas as well as in new areas of opportunity. •Make recommendations on manpower needs and manage departmental development for safety. •Develop a team with the ability to research new safety processes for construction and operational safety process improvement. •Grow a team that can evaluate safety problems/conditions, take responsibility for solutions and provide support and oversight for new installations with the business leadership. •Develop and manage a variety of contractor relationships. •Evaluate the safety performance and results of all projects, services and initiatives as well as people.
