Respond promptly to calls for assistance, including towing, jumping, and fuel deliveries- Respond promptly to calls for vessels / persons in distress. Collaborate with the USCG and local emergency service agencies to ensure a safe and swift recovery of persons and/or vessels in distress- Preform salvage operations on vessels in distress, ensuring safe recovery of the vessel. This can include, but not limited to, righting capsized vessels, dewatering vessels taking on water, and floating sunken vessels- Provide members with local knowledge of Rhode Island waters, for example to include our typical tidal ranges, safe places to anchor, places to avoid, and much more- Along with all other captains, conduct fleet wide inspections of our assets to ensure operational readiness- Collaborate with other captains to optimize operational efficiency when out on the water.
