About Nick Christian

Nick Christian is Head of National Fintech and Specialty Finance for Silicon Valley Bank. He is responsible for helping SVB’s clients at various stages of their lifecycle. He works closely with CEOs, CFOs and venture capitalists to help facilitate growth of the Fintech ecosystem by providing innovative financing solutions, banking solutions, industry insight and advice.Over his 15-year career with SVB, he has held multiple roles. Prior to working in his current role, Nick was providing warehouse facilities to leading originators within Fintech. Nick was also Founding Member of the Strategic Capital Group at SVB. The Strategic Capital Group provides junior debt options, namely mezzanine and convertible debt, for growth stage technology companies. During Nick’s tenure that group provided over $2B in commitments to over 140 companies domestically as well as Europe and Israel. While with the Strategic Capital Group he had various responsibilities including sales originations, operations and partnership platform development. Nick also helped launch the Debt Platform for SVB with a focus on product development and capital formation strategies. Prior to joining SVB, Nick was an analyst with Hercules Technology Growth Capital where he supported the originations teams from an underwriting and portfolio management standpoint. Nick graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Management and a minor in Economics from Northeastern University. Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, son and dogs and he is an avid golfer.
