About Nick Buroker

After obtaining my Bachelors degree in Accounting, instead of working in public audit, I began my career in the private business sector. Business has always interested me and an accounting degree was a good way for me to get involved with a company and help them be successful. My first job out of college was for a company in the construction industry, by the time 2008 arrived we were struggling just like most other housing industry related companies were. We were still turning profits, but the blockage of cash flow in the economy was having a crippling effect on our ability to operate. Eventually, we had to shut the doors, and since management was out of town I had to announce to all the employees that they could not receive their paychecks that day and to not come into work the following Monday. It was a difficult position to be in and it was a very difficult period to go through, but it has taught me some very important business and life lessons that I have carried with me ever since.
