ABOUT NICK BATTA

My passion is helping municipalities and transportation agencies better our communities through enhancements in our infrastructure…by taking my clients\' dreams and goals and turning them first into design plans, then construction activity, and finally enrichment for their citizens’ lives. I am a road designer “by trade”; but my real passion is managing every aspect of project development. Some days I am deep into the details; others I am simply steering the ship. Clients hire me to manage all aspects of their transportation project: survey, design, environmental permitting, land acquisition, bidding and construction. I am that constant role within each project phase to help my clients deliver. My philosophy as a project manager is take full ownership of it. Often times, my clients are responsible for dozens or even 100s other projects. My role is to be their eyes-and-ears as the projects are developed; to know more about it than anyone. It requires a sense of thoroughness, consistency, and good communication. I have also learned there is no substitute for humility: knowing when I need to call-in others to help and admit missteps along the way. If I am not at the office or a job site, you will find me at my peaceful and active abode in Johnson County, Indiana. The peaceful part usually involves working in my garden, reading books about history, or attending events at St. Barnabas Church. The active part is often coaching my kids’ basketball teams, attending dance recitals and running Cub Scout Den meetings.
