About Nick Arvin

I have a wide range of engineering experience across process industries, including biogas, biofuels, oil & gas, and power projects, where I have been responsible for conceptual and detail level design on a variety of facilities. Experience includes project engineering for large multi-discipline projects and taking the lead role in mechanical engineering efforts, as well as troubleshooting in existing plants. My skills include sizing calculations, hydraulic analysis, process flow analysis, P & ID generation, and development of equipment specifications, as well as feasibility and cost/benefit studies to evaluate project opportunities. I also work in an independent engineer and owner\'s engineer role, providing third-party evaluation of projects and technologies for investors, developers, owners, and others. My reviews and reports have included examination of technology readiness level, overall process and plant designs, schedules and costs, contracts and agreements, permitting, and financial models. This work has been primarily focused in the areas of manure and cofeed anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, biofuels, green hydrogen, and other green industrial processes.
