ABOUT NICK R.

I am a quick (and continuous) learner with well developed analytical and problem solving skills. I have experience in data analysis and software development throughout the product lifecycle. I like to iterate quickly, and have experience with several of the popular typescript based web frameworks as well as modern approaches for data infrastructure. Some of my Experience:I worked at a rapid growth startup called NeoFinancial. I built a little bit of everything ranging from complex backend features like ledger systems, full text search, a complex real-time rewards system, and even data extraction / reporting. I worked on internal tools for a baseball team that were used to disseminate insights throughout the organization and drive decision making. I have built nimble dashboards with visualizations for player development, acquisition, and scouting. I analyzed a large (multiple terabyte) dataset of cellular music download records. We visualized the data using python, google maps, and a lot of SQL. Interesting trends that were uncovered are published in academic proceedings.I worked on the design of interactive motion-based activities for people afflicted with Parkinson\'s disease. We used state of the art motion capture technology to create realistic animations that adapt their difficulty level according to user feedback. I once gave a TEDx talk about auto-tune software and the mathematics behind it.
