Since 2005, the Neubauer family has welcomed over students to their farm to teach children all about where their food comes from and that agriculture is the fundamental connection to life.
ABOUT NICHOLE NEUBAUER
When I\'m not in the tractor seat baling hay, hauling seed or fertilizer out to the seeder or tagging a newborn calf, I\'m passionately advocating for agriculture. For the past 18 years, I have welcomed over students to our farm to teach them all about where their food comes from. As the disconnect between rural and urban widens it is my firm belief that as farmers, we need to share our story. I pursue opportunities to share my story of agriculture in classrooms and conference halls, in grocery stores and boardrooms. In 2024, Neubauer Farms will celebrate 114 years of sustainable agriculture. Our kids have the opportunity to be 5th generation farmers, it is my mission to ensure that agriculture is a socially responsible, environmentally sound and financially viable industry that celebrates growth and progress and ultimately, has a bright future for our children. Opening our farm gates to students from the City is one example of how we can future-proof our agriculture industry.
