My passion lies in the interface of environmental stewardship and sustainable agricultural production by improving climate, air, water, and soil systems through adoption of science-based solutions and sustainable practices. My expertise spans a wide range of topics within agricultural and dairy production including climate change resiliency, air quality emissions assessment and reduction,water quality protection, advanced nutrient management, environmental systems, process based modeling, and demonstration of effective best management practices. Through development of a unique research program, on-farm interaction with producers, partner engagement, and advancement of a leadership platform, I have been able to effect change from the ground up.
