About Squid

After studying Film & Media Arts Production, New Media Technology, Visual Anthropology, and Creative Writing at Temple University in Philadelphia, I began my journey as a director and producer in Hollywood in 2012, working on major motion pictures, live concerts, commercials, immersive virtual reality experiences, and television shows. With many hours collected coordinating, managing, and directing shoots in studio backlot sound stages and on location, I pivoted to live event production and broadcast in 2016. I relocated to San Francisco to produce and broadcast marketing events, educational programs, internal company meetings, and product launches for big tech.In 2020, I refocused on virtual production and streaming, teaming up with a long-time friend and collaborator, Dillon Morris, to build a custom end-to-end remote production control room and studio in a San Francisco warehouse. In this command center, we produced and directed dozens of live virtual events for major brands, businesses, and charities featuring company executives, thought leaders of various industries, musical performers, and movie stars. This practice of interfacing one-on-one with key event stakeholders, sponsors, and celebrity talent through the pandemic significantly sharpened my interpersonal sensibility as an increasingly technical director and producer.Since the end of 2020, I have been working with Trademark, producing inspiring and impactful private and public events for a variety of clients in an array of industrial sectors. I have traveled the world, designing and supervising stage builds, technical control room operations, and massive post-production marathons.In 2022, I moved to Reno, Nevada, the Biggest Little City in the World! Still traveling the globe producing and directing live events, I have co-created a community of artists, thinkers, and doers at home known as The Biggest Little Tribe. Producing local concerts, music festivals, immersive and interactive art installations, charity drives, and habitat cleanup, we\'re changing the world one party at a time.Why \"Squid\"? I\'ve always had a wide range of interests and skill sets in development, which coincides with the ten tentacles of decapodiformes. I\'m fluid, flexible, and gentle yet agile, driven, and focused, quite like many cephalopods who can go with the flow or jet their way through difficult situations. Plus, squids are cool! It was an idea for a music project over a two hundred full moons ago, and it just stuck!
