ABOUT NICHOLAS KUHL
Nicholas is driven by the transformative potential of inspired yet pragmatic planning. Thoughtfully employed, the work we do as planning professionals can shape our world into a more livable place for all. A firm believer in service-minded leadership, Nicholas is an active volunteer and planning advocate both near and far. In the planning profession Nicholas is a former director of the Canadian Institute of Planners, currently serves as a director of the Alberta Professional Planning Institute, and volunteers with the Commonwealth Association of Planners as a representative to the United Nations Habitat Professionals Forum. In this role he has recently co-authored a Roadmap to Covid Recovery document for urban professional organizations, for which he was invited to present at the 2022 World Urban Forum in Katowice, Poland.Closer to home, Nicholas is an active member of the Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association\'s Board of Directors and Development Committee where he is the CA\'s liaison to the Federation of Calgary Communities\' Citizens + Students program. Nicholas is also a sessional instructor with the University of Alberta\'s Applied Land Use Planning Program and former Vice Chair of the Calgary Parking Authority\'s board of directors.
