ABOUT NICHOLAS IKNAYAN

I am a manufacturing operations leader, skilled in process improvement and development, cross functional collaboration, and executing to a strategic vision to achieve the goals set by the organizations I support. My career path started in customer service and business management within the quick service food industry learning the importance of empathy and servant leadership. I transitioned into a leadership development program after graduating from college which exposed me to the roles of process engineering, strategic sourcing and master data, and operations supervision within manufacturing environments. Through my rotations I was awarded for my contributions for process improvement and cycle time reduction as an engineer, air freight mitigation and delivery fulfillment as a sourcing engineer, and waste and lead time reduction as a production supervisor. This was a formative experience as I left the rotational program with a well-rounded knowledge of the inputs needed to create and sustain a profitable and stable manufacturing operation. My current role as operations manager supports the Stanfield, NC Stanley Engineered Fastening operation. I lead a team of 80 employees across 2 shifts that include shop floor leads and operators spanning the six different departments that make up our value stream. I am involved in daily plant management and decision making which includes continuous improvement project planning and tracking, LEAN + 5S training and rollout, production and labor scheduling, reporting of critical KPIs, and S & OP responsibilities. My team and I have celebrated the successes of sustaining an exceptional safety culture, revitalization of our LEAN + 5S program, and the introduction of a tiered accountability program for our site.I strive to create a work environment that emphasizes employee development and accountability. I recognize that my personal development is a function of the successes I create for the members of my team. I look forward to opportunities that allow me to continue to develop my skills and to become part of an exceptional organization.
