About Nicholas Hinkebein

Hello! My name is Nick Hinkebein, and I am a Freshman at the Walton Honors College of Business studying Supply Chain Management. Graduating from Bentonville High School, I completed ten Advanced Placement courses and received college credit for each of them. As a student in Ignite Global Business I also recieved college credit through concurrent classes with NWACC. Additionally, I served as one of six Senior Class Student Council Representatives, the Community Service Director for the Spanish National Honor Society, and a Student-to-Student mentor. Through high school, I worked part-time at the local Ozark Mountain Bagel Co, where I enjoyed being part of a small business. As a shift lead, I had the opportunity to enhance my leadership skills and take on a more significant role within the company.Outside of work and academics, I have a deep passion for the outdoors. Last year, I challenged myself by participating in the Los Angeles Marathon. After three months of rigorous training, I successfully completed the race with a time of 3:34:30. I have also spent two weeks backpacking in the Sangre De Christo Mountains of New Mexico and summited three fourteeners in Colorado. I strive to gain these experiences to improve myself and my understanding of the world around me.

   Work weekends from 7am-2pm during the school year and over the summer. As a Shift Lead I report to the owner/manager and am responsible for the efforts of 5 people on the shift. In addition to leading, other duties include counting out the cash registers, calculating tips, delegating closing tasks, and taking/making orders.
