ABOUT NICHOLAS GRUBIC
Nicholas Grubic is doctoral candidate, Vanier Scholar, CRDCN Emerging Scholar, and UTAA Scholar at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto with academic training in epidemiology and biostatistics. His research interests encompass cardiovascular epidemiology, sports medicine, cardiac arrest, research methods, and the social determinants of health. Nicholas has a track-record of scholarly success with >45 peer-reviewed publications (>25 as first author), cumulatively garnering over >850 citations. He is a proven leader with over 5 years of community service with the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. In 2019, Nicholas co-founded the Community and Athletic Cardiovascular Health Network (CATCH). He is also an avid runner and cyclist, with a passion for sport founded during his 10-year career as a varsity rower and triathlete for Queen’s University and Team Ontario.
