ABOUT NICHOLAS ERTEL

I am a mechanical engineer with 12 years experience in refrigeration engineering, project management, and construction management. I have worked on projects for companies such as Sysco, Nestle, Walmart, Blue Apron, Coca Cola and more. Currently I am the Manager of the Refrigeration Engineering group at Gray AES.Before my time at Gray, I was a Design Project Manager and Refrigeration Engineer with Stellar. I helped manage design projects for industrial refrigeration processing plants. This includes writing proposals, setting budgets and schedules, defining resources and managing the design team. The design team typically is made up of engineers and CAD designers who complete design drawings, review submittals and answer RFI’s. When I was an Assistant Project Manager for Republic Refrigeration I focused on design and construction management of the installation of industrial refrigeration systems for the food processing and distribution industry. Success included completion of projects on time, within budget and the customer was happy with the system installed. I have my bachelors degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and am currently a licensed PE in the states of NC, AK, PA, CO, ME, GA, KY, FL, SC, VA, NY, TN, and IL
