   Building out new team and development of new function to lead strategic growth efforts within the Capital Markets Division of Zions Bancorporation. Focus on leading and elevating our strategic planning and project execution, operations, organizational development, first line operational risk management, reporting, administrative, and financial management functions.STRATEGY – LEADERSHIP – RESULTS: Co-Led efforts to develop a comprehensive business plan to elevate and grow our stagnant Sales & Trading businesses and infrastructure. Led cross functional discussions with internal partners across all three lines of defense to understand and document current state and obtain consensus around future state. Authored formal business proposal and budget for presentation to the firm’s Change Initiatives and Technology Committee (“CITC”) and Board of Directors and received approval. Responsible for implementation of new Trading and Risk Management system (Calypso) and related elevation of operational, risk management, and financial processes and controls. Directed efforts to build and successfully implement a Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Conduit/Hedging Program including partnering with key constituents including Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, Compliance, Finance/Accounting, Legal, and Operations. Authored new Risk Management policy and framework to oversee hedging activities and obtained approval from the firm’s Strategic Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO). Authored regulatory no objection documentation surrounding these specific activities. Took ownership upon arrival of deteriorating Loan Syndication technology project and led efforts to rebuild the project plan to ensure a successful implementation. Presented revised plan and budget at the firm’s Change Initiatives and Technology Committee and successfully implemented. Led efforts to elevate our annual budgeting routines by rebuilding a bottom’s up model projecting both revenue and expenses.
