Nick Capote is the Systemwide Director of Oncology, Infusion, and Investigational Drug Pharmacy Services of UCSF Health, an internationally recognized health system. UCSF Health includes staff and physicians, maintains 1290 beds, admits patients, has over 2.5 million outpatient visits yearly, and has an annual revenue of more than $5 billion. UCSF is the top public recipient of NIH dollars totaling in $709 million for 2021.Capote oversees approximately 95 personnel (65 FTE) across inpatient and outpatient adult and pediatric care settings, the provision of oncology and non-oncology medications to 184 infusion chairs across the health system, an oncology drug budget of $178 million, and an expansive portfolio of research drugs provided via IRB-approved clinical trials. Capote operates as a key leader within the broader UCSF Health Pharmacy Department leadership team, developing and executing against goals that support the broader mission and vision of UCSF Health.
