Following my previous roles in Manchester and Leeds, as result of undertaking strategic recruitment and business planning I am currently responsible for leading and developing our Newcastle office. This expansion has enabled us to continue serving our national clients with a broader geographical reach and has allowed us to expand our range of services across the North East. I continue to advise clients on a range of valuation matters across the North of England including loan security purposes and asset valuations for local authority accounting.

ABOUT NICHOLAS BROADWAY
I am a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and an RICS Registered Valuer working for a national firm of surveyors providing Red Book valuations across the north of England. I have over a decade of extensive experience from positions in the three major northern cities, Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester. I provide detailed and timely valuation reports for various purposes on a range of complex matters. This includes commercial, residential and development loan security valuations for high street banks and lenders providing real estate finance. Valuations for financial reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP, S123 valuations in line with the Local Government Act 1972 and valuations under S119 of the Charities Act 2011. In addition to valuation work, I have been involved with the adaption and utilisation of new technologies within our National Valuations Team. I have an interest in PropTech and productivity which is leading to increased efficiency, higher quality and faster turnaround times of valuation reports for clients. This is an area that I believe will continue to provide significant benefits to our valuation service and ultimately, to clients over the next few years. I\'m currently looking to discuss opportunities with established financial institutions as well as emerging providers. Valuation of a landmark town centre asset in excess of sq. ft undertaken under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972.Proven results in advising public sector clients on disposal strategies, undertaking informal tenders and auctions on a joint agency basis. Increasing values on sites in excess of £1m by agreeing on conditional sales that have been managed through to completion. Acted as the first point of contact on over 1,200 marketed properties across the UK for a leading international consultancy.Undertaken a portfolio valuation of 94 properties across the North East on behalf of a main high street bank requiring individual inspections and reports within 5 working days. Managing and delivering a measurement contract on behalf of a public sector client requiring the referencing of 150 properties (1.5 million sq ft) within an 8 week period.
