ABOUT NICHOLAS STINE
I\'ve spent my career at the intersection of clinical medicine and large-scale population health transformation, from building the nation\'s most successful public ACO in New York to leading value-based care strategy and operations for 2.6M lives at CommonSpirit Health.At CommonSpirit, I served as system SVP for Population Health, overseeing 370+ value-based contracts ($14B managed spend) with a national team of We delivered $474M in cost reduction and grew Medicare value-based care revenue by $231M, while launching programs to address hepatitis C, substance use disorders, health-related social needs, and chronic disease management across 21 states.Before that, I was Chief Medical Officer for New York City\'s ACO at NYC Health + Hospitals. Over 12 consecutive performance years, the program generated $100M in savings with top-tier national MSSP quality, across 11 hospitals and 70+ community health centers.Today I advise health systems, payers, and research organizations through my independent practice, Wreath Owen Wells Advisory. I\'m also a practicing primary care and addiction medicine physician at Highland Hospital in Oakland, with faculty appointments at UCSF and the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies, and a Senior Scholar at the Stanford Clinical Excellence Research Center.
