Construction projects succeed or fail based on how risk is identified, managed and addressed at every stage. I focus my practice on construction litigation and construction law across Florida, helping owners, developers, contractors and community associations navigate disputes, contracts and compliance issues with clarity and foresight.I am a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Construction Law, a distinction that reflects a focused commitment to this practice area, and a Fellow of the exclusive American College of Construction Lawyers. Since joining Siegfried Rivera in 2006, I have represented clients across all phases of the construction process, from project development and bidding through contract negotiation, lien issues, dispute avoidance and litigation. My experience includes representing condominium and homeowners associations in Chapter 558 claims, as well as advising construction industry participants on protecting their interests before disputes escalate. In addition to active matters, I regularly work with clients on proactive strategies that reduce exposure and support better outcomes. I believe effective construction law counsel requires both technical knowledge and an understanding of how projects operate in practice, not just on paper. I am also deeply committed to education and professional leadership within the construction industry. I serve as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where I teach Florida Construction Lien Law, and I am actively involved in national and regional construction law organizations. Teaching and speaking allow me to stay closely connected to evolving legal issues while contributing to the development of the next generation of construction law practitioners. What drives my work is helping clients make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary conflict, and resolve disputes efficiently when they arise.

   Mr. Siegfried is a shareholder of the firm who concentrates his practice in the areas of Construction Litigation, Condominium Law and Community Association Law. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami. Following his first year of law school, Mr. Siegfried served as an intern for the Honorable Joan A. Lenard, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, and the Honorable Stephen T. Brown, Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida. He was a certified legal intern at the City of Miami Beach Attorney \'s Office. Mr. Siegfried was selected as the University of Miami, College of Law Outstanding Local Government Law School Student by the City, County and Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar. Currently, he is the editor of Florida Construction Lien Law an Overview and Florida Construction Law both authored by Steven Siegfried. He is admitted to the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
