ABOUT NICHOLAS SCARRIOT

I’m a business administration student at Illinois State University with hands-on experience in marketing, graphic design, and leadership-focused roles. Through both creative and leadership-oriented positions, I’ve developed a strong work ethic and real world communication skill.I’ve worked as a Marketing Graphic Designer for the Chicago Police Department, Brother Rice High School, and as a self-employed freelancer. I created visual content using Adobe Photoshop to support branding, communication, and outreach efforts. Most of my work was sport and athletic media. These roles taught me how to market and meet deadlines while collaborating remotely with professional organizations.Alongside my creative work, I’ve spent multiple seasons as a certified lifeguard, gaining real-world experience in leadership, safety management, and crisis response. These roles require accountability, clear communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. I have also involved myself in odd-jobs, such as working as a janitor, a basketball scorekeeper, and an Edmund Rice summer camp lifeguard. I’m eager to continue building experience in business, marketing, and creative strategy while learning from real-world opportunities.
