Integral member of the MGH ED PA group working alongside the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residents in providing emergency healthcare at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Responsibilities and skills including- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all acuity levels (ESI 1-5) through comprehensive assessments and exams including trauma and critical care, consulting appropriate specialties, and making coordinated disposition plans-Proficient in various bedside ultrasound examinations including but not limited to E-FAST, cardiac, abdomen, soft tissue, vascular, renal, and bladder studies- Perform diagnostic bedside ultrasound and procedures including but not limited laceration repair, ultrasound IV placement, I&D, central line insertion, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, paracenteses, joint reduction-ACLS, BLS, certified- Additional training: SANE (sexual assault), MOAB, HAZMAT trained through the Division of Emergency Preparedness at MGH - Proficient with use of EPIC, Meditech- Precept Physician Assistant students- Extensive experience with transplant, oncologic emergencies as well as addiction, mental health issues
