About Nicholas Ketchum
I am an experienced microbiologist with a history of working in R&D and QA/QC. I am skilled in the cultivation and identification of microorganisms by culture based methods as well as molecular methods. I teach / have taught classes on microbiology and brewing science at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College as well as at Mount St. Joseph University. Additionally I manage the Quality lab and run R&D special projects at Rhinegeist Brewery.

I manage the Rhinegeist Quality lab team, to ensure the adherence to industry standards of food safety and brewing quality. I am also responsible for assisting other department heads with any quality related issues. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing fermentation data and identifying any problems, analyzing issues on the production line, and monitoring any changes which are being implemented in production.
