I train large language models to identify hospital-associated infections across 1,200+ clinical notes by designing prompts informed by CDC surveillance guidelines. I build and evaluate classification and clustering models on EHR data to enhance infection detection. I also use logistic regression and propensity score weighting to assess treatment effectiveness for bloodstream infections, integrating machine learning models to support and extend the analysis.
