ABOUT NICHOLAS HALL HONS

I am Business Engagement Manager for AMRC Northwest. This role involves working with Small Medium Enterprises in terms of providing solutions that help the regions manufacturing community. Having worked at board level in the business sector I find that my commercial background helps me work with employers to develop meaningful relationships that add value.Having recently completed a Lancaster University Degree at Blackburn College I too understand the challenges of working and learning!Past roles include:• Business Engagement Manager Blackburn College• Director of Acorn Independent Financial which had over 25 advisers, • Head of Business Development at Blackburn Rovers Football Club which at the time the club was in the Premiership.• Led a successful management team MBO (Management Buy Out) successfully securing £17 million to buy Park Hall and Camelot.• Board Director at Granada Entertainments which was part of the Granada Group. The division turned over £100million with a mix of businesses predominately Theme Parks, Health and Fitness Clubs, Hotels, Night Clubs and Restaurants. During my 12 years at Granada my roles covered areas such as Operations, Business Development and ultimately Deputy MD.I have also held positions on a number of boards for example -Red Rose Radio, Blackpool and Lancashire Tourist Board and also East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
