UMR CNRS 7285 - Institut de Chimie des Milieux et Matériaux de Poitiers (IC2MP)Project ConCASM - Controlling Cavitation for the Activation of Small MoleculesFunded by the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant - Synthesis of micron-sized CuO catalysts with surface cavities resulting in cavitation under ultrasonic irradiation. Cavitation events on the surface of the CuO catalysts produce local high temperature and high pressure environments that facilitate the activation of small molecules for reaction- Development of synthesis protocols to produce catalyst microparticles having surface modifications that facilitate controlled cavitation.
