Currently completing a degree apprenticeship with Morgan Stanley whilst simultaneously studying at Queen Mary University of London. Delivering low-latency and resilient risk controls for electronic trading.Work/rotations completed- Worked in an agile team to make improvements to the firmwide DevOps platform, engineering software architecture solutions and handling incidents across the plant- Built enhancements to Java/Scala risk middleware and analytics tools for low-latency risk controls on the Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading platform. Supported our kdb+/q time series databases, and worked directly with the front line risk managers to improve visibility and manageability of risk controls in the algorithmic trading systems- Developed an ultra-high availability software distribution system for container images and other software artifacts, supporting every running application and developer in the firm. Built skills in Python, Kubernetes, Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), JFrog Artifactory- Finally, returned to Trading Risk Controls (Algo) to work on a re-architecture of the front-to-back trading systems and improve speed/resiliency.
