I’m a software developer and all round computing enthusiast. Solving complex problems through the innovative use of IT is what drives me most, and I consider myself to have very good analytical skills and problem solving abilities, together with a good track record of providing reliable software solutions that have met their requirements in industries such as Defence and Electronics.I’ve spent the vast proportion of my career involved in Microsoft Windows based software/database development and platform configuration, and am highly skilled and certified in a number of Microsoft technologies. More recently I’ve branched out into Linux/Java based development professionally, as this is an area that has always interested me!For the majority of the last 9 years I worked for CGI on a major development, systems integration and support programme, making a significant technical contribution to numerous successful deliveries throughout each phase of the programme and gaining significant experience of the systems development life cycle.I consider myself to have very good communication skills and am always focussed on ensuring that the needs of the client are met. I relish any opportunities to research and learn new technologies, and taught myself the material required to earn my professional certifications (Microsoft, Oracle and Linux).
