I am a Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) and Park Consultant with Parkscapes Texas, based in Austin, Texas, where I partner with communities, designers, and public agencies to create impactful outdoor play and park environments that strengthen connection and quality of life.I also currently serve as President of the Washington Recreation & Parks Association (WRPA) and bring more than a decade of progressive leadership experience developing inclusive, sustainable, and high-performing park systems across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.Previously, I served as Director of Parks, Recreation & Facilities for the City of Kennewick, WA, and Director of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services for the City of Valdez, AK. In these roles, I led complex, multi-million-dollar capital improvement programs, managed diverse teams of 100+ staff, and built strong interagency and community partnerships to deliver projects that expanded access, equity, and long-term resilience.At Parkscapes Texas, I draw on this public-sector background to support parks professionals, school districts, landscape architects, and community leaders—helping guide projects from visioning and design through construction and lifecycle planning.Areas of expertise include:• Parks system master planning, capital project management, and facility development• Inclusive design, universal access, and sustainable infrastructure• Public-private partnerships, USACE and Tribal coordination, and grant funding• Organizational leadership, budget strategy, and workforce development• Community engagement, policy development, and strategic visioningI am known for fostering collaborative, data-driven cultures where teams take ownership and communities feel heard.
