About Nicholas Chilelli
I have been in the commercial communication satellite industry for 37 years, and my experience covers the major responsibilities of both satellite design and satellite operations, with anomaly management, satellite operations support, customer support and business development being my focus for the last 33 years. I am very conscious of balancing the needs and costs of satellite operations, engineering support and new projects, working with small, focused teams with large responsibilities. My positions have given me the opportunity to work with all satellite subsystems and with a wide range of issues from mundane to headline-worthy emergencies. Continuous improvement and lessons learned integration into new programs are the primary outputs of a formal engineering process that I not only lead but helped to establish at my companies.
