Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc (BPMI) is the prime contractor for the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) responsible for the design, purchase, testing, manufacturing oversight, delivery, installation, & field support of major nuclear components for the US Navy’s fleet of submarines & aircraft carriers and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bechtel Corp-the largest privately owned construction company in the USA*Act on behalf of the US Government for the issuance of solicitations, lead discussions about the TAC, & negotiate all aspects of contractual agreements in assigned categories of equipment*Award, maintain, & close projects of varying efforts for The US Navy/NNPP*Responsible for cost-benefit analysis, supplier evaluations, & identification/execution of special projects*Collaborate with other major defense contractors, such as Lockheed Martin & Northrop Grumman *Responsible for federal budget mgmt, requests, & plans for both NRTBP(Naval Reactors Technical Budget Plans) & Prime Contracts granted from US congress*Conduct cost/price estimates via market research & labor rates to provide oversight and verify project proposals are fair & reasonable*Responsible for the issuance of persuasion letters or presentations (FINs) to the gov if forecasted or actual dollars required to complete critical projects exceed allocated budgets*Identify, quantify, & mitigate risk when it comes to security, price increases, required in yard (RIY) dates, etc.*Negotiate & implement special clauses such as Nuclear Indemnification, progress/performance payments, etc.*Required to operate in accordance to FAR/DFARS*Part of a team that plays a vital role in the wartime readiness of the US Navy’s Nuclear Powered fleet & strategic nuclear deterrence *Provide critical solutions to unique, ever-developing problems*Possess an active US gov security clearance required to complete job responsibilities, access sensitive information, gain access to necessary facilities
