Dr. Petikas is the Navy Operational Psychology Sub-Specialty Leader. He is a subject matter expert in applied behavioral sciences including personnel assessment and selection, performance enhancement, organizational consultation, sustainment of elite performers, leadership consultation, human factors mitigation, strategic communication, and threat assessment within the context of national security and national defense. As the Navy Operational Psychology Sub-Specialty Leader he possesses specialized training and experience in these areas and is responsible for the education, training and skills maintenance for over 200 active-duty Psychologists. The Operational Psychology Sub-Specialty Leader is also responsible for the organization and management of over 30 Operational Psycholgy billets and the placement of qualified staff in these billets throughout the Department of the Navy.

Dr. Nicholas C. Petikas Ph.D, ABPP, is a Board Certified Clinical and Operational Psychologist who has served for over 12 years in the United States Navy.He has extensive training and experience in psychological performance enhancement and the psychological assessment and selection of advanced Naval Special Operations candidates, and of United States Marine Corps Drill Instructors. He is also an expert in the psychology of resilience as a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) and Resistance Training (RT) certified psychologist.Dr. Petikas utilizes applied psychological techniques and training with elite performers and leaders in industry to enhance individual and organizational performance. He provides expert assessment and consultation in the domain of talent acquisition, team building, and psychological resiliency.He is the developer of the United States Marine Corps. “Warrior Mindset” program. The Warrior Mindset Program has been integrated into the training of over U.S. Marine recruits by applying empirically based performance psychology techniques which aim to enhance the performance and resiliency of United States Marines.
