Head of Delivery- Sustainability & Value Chain @Co-op
My role as the Head of our Value Creation team has been expanded to include the delivery of our Sustainability plan.Over the last few years my team has worked with our suppliers and internal functions to unlock real value through reducing costs which land impactful change in either our Coop business, our customers, communities we serve and our suppliers. More and more the team have worked on projects which also contribute towards achieving our Coop sustainability goals and helping the supplier achieve theirs. My new role will be to lead the creation of the delivery plan and include the sequencing and implementation of the initiatives required to support our transition to a Net Zero business. Many of those initiatives will be working closely with our supply base.Me and my team will work alongside our incredible Sustainability team, suppliers and other key stakeholders to drive the delivery of both the Sustainability plan and the Value Creation plan.

I love my job. I feel that is an important statement to make as our mental and physical wellbeing is so dependent upon being happy in what we do for the vast chunk of our time. I\'m happy at work because I enjoy working for an organisation like the Coop and its where I have spent the last 16 years working in various roles across development, trading, end to end value chain and now broadening my role to include the vast and important world of sustainability. I like people. another important statement to make. I\'m an incredible relationship builder. I find it comes naturally but have developed the style and flexibility to ensure my approach with people both personally and professionally is appropriate, genuine and of value. I am curious and an optimistic individual which has served me well. I will look to solutions and want to problem solve as I find this incredibly rewarding (although some YR4 maths questions have challenged this quite recently).
