ABOUT NICHOLAS B.

In twelve years as a tech professional, I have brought digital experiences to life in a variety of sectors. Through business analysis, project and programme management, I nurture dev teams and stacks alike. Riding the agile product management wave, I transferred internally from Seattle to London as Covid waned. I now manage a cloud native platform following the launch and scale-up of a new European startup bank, Chase.My career has been built on a foundation of learning that started in childhood. In Wilmette, IL I made judgement calls as an umpire and advised executives as a golf caddy. In St. Louis, MO I spent my teens as a lifeguard managing risk, giving direction as a swim instructor & looking out for those with special needs. Coaching aspiring students at Kelley School of Business helped me earn & pay for a university degree. Building a business, a startup and stage presence, I graduated early.Commercial airplane sales & marketing is where I cut my teeth. A Boeing app I brought to market in 2013 is still flying. A strong foundation in data, mobile and customer experience led to a stint in W3C. On the East Coast in Portland, ME, I broke into finance (insurance) briefly. Back in Seattle, I found myself at J.P. Morgan, mastering product ownership to serve Chase’s 60M active US customers.These dozen years in tech have given me a unique perspective working at the juncture of product and engineering to provide seamless customer experiences. I believe in making the most of what you have right now, simplifying to enable innovation and dealing with people humanely. I find AI to be exciting, but without human intention, it is boring.
