ABOUT NICA BARR
Nica was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines and now a US CPA (with California) after moving permanently to the US.Nica worked for 5 years in the Assurance department of Isla Lipana & Co, a PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) member firm in the Philippines. She has extensive audit exposure, primarily in the insurance industry. She also has experience in auditing capital markets, healthcare management, real estate, manufacturing, and business process outsourcing companies.After just two years with PwC Philippines, Nica was fast-tracked in her promotion to Senior Associate and was handpicked to take part in PwC’s Global Mobility Program. She was sent to PwC San Francisco (January - March 2013) and PwC Houston (January - May 2014, November 2014 - May 2015) to audit financial services clients. Nica was also chosen to be a part of PwC Philippines’ Methodology Group which ensures that the firm, in the conduct of its work, is consistent with the audit approach set by PwC for all its member firms across the globe. In line with her role on this, she was sent to PwC HongKong (October - November 2013) to test and assess PwC\'s updated audit support tool.She was also a facilitator in the in-house training of introduction to PwC audit and introduction to insurance in PwC Philippines.
