As a Senior Editor and key member of The Broke Backpacker team, I manage a diverse portfolio of responsibilities that blend editorial excellence, creative strategy, and technical expertise: Editorial Leadership: Oversee the production, editing, and publication of high-quality, SEO-driven travel content. Content Strategy: Developing and implementing strategies to drive organic traffic, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and evergreen content creation. I also manage external content, liaising with content creation companies, okaying and editing work to fit The Broke Backpacker voice. I also set up content schedules, press publish on 99% of the work we do and link build back to that work. Head of Images: Curate, edit, and manage the visual content for the site, ensuring all imagery aligns with brand guidelines and enhances storytelling. I also perform regular audits to ensure guidelines are being met. Photography: Contribute original photography to elevate blog aesthetics and create immersive experiences for readers. Pinterest & Social Media Marketing: Drive traffic growth through strategic Pinterest & Instagram campaigns, utilising the platform to expand brand reach and engagement. Gear Reviews & Affiliate Marketing: Write in-depth, honest reviews of travel gear, combining real-world experience with actionable insights for readers. I also implement effective affiliate marketing across my wider content. Veterans Team Member: Collaborate with the senior team on long-term projects and high-priority initiatives, contributing to the site\'s continued growth and innovation. Remote Working: This role is 100% remote with frequent retreats in worldwide locations and team members across the globe.In my role, I combine creativity, analytical skills, and a passion for adventure to contribute to one of the world\'s leading travel blogs.
