ABOUT NIA TRUSLER
Connect with me by email at n••••••••@gmail.comHello! My name is Nia and I am a recent graduate of Cornell University. I majored in Communication, with a concentration in Information Technologies. I am a passionate, aspiring UX Designer who is excited by gathering insights on users to create products that both make sense and are visually appealing. My coursework at Cornell gave me a solid foundation in the theories and practices of human-computer interaction, user research, and usability testing. I have completed several projects and assignments demonstrating my ability to design user-friendly interfaces, mockups, and prototypes, using tools such as Miro, Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud. I have also learned how to communicate effectively with different audiences, stakeholders, and collaborators, using various media and platforms. Most recently at Cornell, I worked on a team project looking to solve the lack of variety in adaptive fashion and make its market more affordable. I helped conduct in-depth research on the existing products and solutions in the realm of adaptive fashion, as well as conducted user interviews with disabled individuals, experts at Cornell’s Hybrid Body Lab, and the Director of Product Development at No Limbits. I utilized tools such as Figma and Photoshop to create prototypes for a proposed website connecting our target group with tailors to retrofit clothing. In my free time, I am passionate about helping students from underrepresented backgrounds chase their dreams of attending college. My college background started at community college and over the course of two years I worked my way to gain acceptance at Cornell. If you need transfer admissions assistance, please reach out to me.
