About Nia Buker-Nodal

Hi! My name\'s Nia (clearly). I\'m from North Carolina and moved to Illinois for college. While at school I worked at the IT Helpdesk, which meant I mostly helped professors log back into their emails. But I also learned I love helping solve problems and empowering people with the information they need to be successful. I also worked as a TA for a Theology Professor, where I learned grading quizzes sucks but teaching inquisitive minds and being entrusted as an intellectual resource is so fulfilling. Strangely enough, I fell in love with Chicago—despite my parents\' insistence it is far too expensive and cold*—so I stayed. One day, far away (but not, like, too far away), I\'ll go back to school and continue learning and teaching. For now, I hope to spend my time doing work that contributes to the lives of others. Which is why I\'m working at Unite Us-*They were obviously right, but we all make sacrifices, ya know.
