Since I started college, I’ve been motivated by working in a team to solve challenging problems in my internship, research projects, and extracurricular activities. I am eager to learn and grow with opportunities and take feedbacks effectively to improve both personal and professional growth. From a start-up to major research projects, I have been a reliable key partner to help my team to achieve the goal in a timely manner and deliver the best results. I am perseverant, a critical thinker, and an influential team player. I loved providing resources and supports to first-generation college students and I am a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion. I have been a great mentor for more than 10+ high schoolers, first, and second-year college students. Successfully implemented and supported the function team in optimizing product roadmap and reducing launching time for a new mobile application. Increased interaction and improved a better user experience of a mobile application for the start-up project. Applied Agile methodology to implement and deploy the product. Organized and managed inventories and materials for a pilot-scale extractive distillation column. Minimized costs by effectively communicating with vendors, welders, and suppliers. Led a team of 10 undergraduate students on a sustainable engineering project to recycle plastic waste for the production of 3D printing filaments. Organized, defined structure and budget for a year-long project. Applied LEAN Sigma Manufacturing to reduce costs by 80% and manufacturing process efficiency by 50%. Took initiative to start a student organization to provide a supportive community for Asian heritage students who major in STEM. Won the National Outstanding New Chapter Award within the first year established.
