Despite decades of research in wearable and implantable sensing technologies, long-term solutions that fully meet healthcare needs remain limited.With expertise spanning conceptualization, design, finite element analysis, process development, microfabrication, and in vitro and in vivo testing of MEMS and biosensors, I am passionate about driving innovation and advancing cutting-edge research in MEMS, sensors, and diagnostics.One highlight of my research was during my PhD, where I developed a fully implantable, electronics-free glucose sensor made entirely from smart hydrogels. These hydrogels offer excellent biocompatibility and can be tailored to detect specific analytes. The sensor operates on the principle of acoustic resonance, where smart hydrogel structures are engineered to resonate in response to medical ultrasound. This enables fully remote and electronics-free operation of the implants.
