About Martha McCormick

I work for social justice through art, yoga and mindfulness, gardening and team building, developing myself, others, and groups into happier, healthier people. Throughout 40+ years at Iowa State University and Next Step Adventure, I\'ve provided key leadership for networking, outreach, teamwork, development and sustainability. As a certified yoga instructor, I\'m honored to guide students at Shakti Yoga Shop through a practice that connects mind and body, and opens the heart. Through resources like Mindfulness & Movement Activity Cards, and The Growth Deck, Next Step helps teachers and parents settle, encourage connection and creativity. And of course FUN! I love working with people who envision and achieve greater futures by tapping into their experience, strength and hope.

After earning my 200RYT in 2014, teaching yoga is my next adventure on a list that includes art, gardening and travel.
