My colleagues and friends joke that when I get into a crowded elevator, I know everyone’s life story by the time we reach the top floor. I am a relationship-builder at heart and thrive on making others feel like welcomed, valued members of a community.My career as a nonprofit professional has included senior leadership roles in operations, finance, management and fundraising. My experience includes:• Executive Leadership: I have worked closely with committed Boards of Directors and understand the importance of a highly functioning, transparent lay/professional relationship.• Understanding of Financial Systems, Data Analysis and Financial Reporting: I have been responsible for preparing annual budgets and financial reports along with creating and managing financial databases, all with the goal of building fiscally sound organizations.• Change Management: I\'ve worked at legacy organizations that needed to be taken in a new direction and I\'ve scaled startups from an idea into a reality.• Metric-Based Decision Making: I have created systems for gathering data in order to inform decisions about how to guide an organization.• Human Resource Management: I\'ve supervised teams ranging from 2-14 professionals and know how to motivate others to bring their best selves to work. • Network Building and Partnership Development: I\'ve built partnerships with a wide variety of ethnic and cultural leaders. I\'ve assessed the needs of organizations and forged collaborations to maximize communal impact.• Successful Fundraising: I have experience with all aspects and stages of fundraising, including major gift solicitation, corporate giving, events, cultivation, stewardship, and managing fundraising strategy, operations, and staff.
