Lead the technical defect inspection metrology sub-team (INSP1) and collaborate cross-functionally with Samsung HQ and other internal teams to execute defect root cause investigation using SEM, Dark Field, and Macro Inspection tools, supporting reliable inline monitoring and yield excursion containment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Develop and optimize defect detection settings and Best Known Methods (BKMs) for each inspection toolset across multiple process layers from Front-End to Back-End of line and supporting new product introductions (NPIs) for 14nm FinFET, 17nm LPV, and 28nm MOSFET process technologies. Analyze SPC metrics, tool matching, and key qualification data to troubleshoot wafer yield loss and process deviations; collaborate with equipment and process teams to implement corrective actions using 8D and 5Why methodologies. Automate defect trend analysis and inspection data reporting using Python and Spotfire, improving data accuracy quality, and reducing manual reporting time while enabling faster response to process deviation and tool-level issue.
