ABOUT NEVINE NIZAR ZAKARIA
Museum Studies Lecturer, Senior Museum Director, and Cultural Heritage Strategist with 20+ years of experience in curatorial leadership, exhibition development, heritage interpretation, and cultural policy. Habilitation Candidate at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (2024–2028) and Alexander von Humboldt Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Museology and Cultural Studies Department, Würzburg University (2021–2024).My research explores museum and social inclusion, museum education, the role of cultural heritage in education, accessibility and community engagement, and the representation of disability in museums, along with the development of policies and frameworks for implementing inclusive practices in museum and heritage management.Former Director of Museum Exhibition Affairs and Assistant to the Minister for the Development of Museums and Heritage Sites at Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, I have contributed to major national heritage projects including the Grand Egyptian Museum, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Egypt\'s Capital Museum, and numerous regional museums. Since 2015, I have been teaching museum studies in Egypt, Germany, and the UAE, integrating heritage interpretation and inclusive exhibition practices into academic teaching and research.I welcome collaborations and international opportunities in research, heritage and museum consultancy, and cultural development — particularly those shaping inclusive and sustainable futures for museums and heritage institutions.
