As a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Facilitator and Assessor with Achēv and Achēv Inclusion, I equip organizations with tools to cultivate a more inclusive workplace to create a community of belonging and strengthen access to employment and retention for employees. I work with organizations in Ontario, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. Create a psychologically safe space with organizations / employers to learn about their DEIA needs and goals, working all organizational levels, including C-Suite, leadership and management teams, frontline employees etc. Conduct workplace climate assessments to identify any DEIA gaps, by measuring current DEIA practices to use as baseline to compare progress with interventions implemented. Utilize DEIA competencies to develop and measure performance metrics. Propose strategies and actions via DEIA training and interventions to prioritize any DEIA gaps. Cultivate a DEIA infrastructure. Develop and deliver interactive DEIA curriculum and resources, customized to organization / employer needs. DEIA topics range from: psychological safety, leadership and management practices, employee engagement, engagement surveys, impact of DEIA, bias and unconscious bias, microaggressions, privilege, bystander intervention, creating effective DEIA committees, DEIA statements, ability, intercultural communication, cultural humility, inclusive and bias free language, gender neutral language in job ads, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, inclusive rules of engagement, fostering an inclusive climate, allyship, race and ethnicity, 2SLGBTQIA+ etc.
