I provide federal and state tax planning, business succession planning and estate planning to clients. I focus on clear and understandable explanations of tax concepts and policies that help my clients swiftly and confidently navigate the tax consequences of even the most complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, tax-free exchanges, reorganizations, the transfer of business ownership, complicated gifting techniques, and municipal and private activity bond financing. I advise non-profit, tax-exempt organizations on a wide scope of tax and governance matters, including Maine sales and use tax issues, real property tax, and public charity and private foundation issues.
