About Nelson Gaertner

Nelson Gaertner, Jr. is a Managing Director and the Regional Director for the Northeast Region. He has spent more than 34 years with Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms, starting as a Financial Advisor at Shearson Lehman Brothers. Having transitioned to management in 1994, Nelson has held a variety of corporate, branch and complex roles. An immigrant from Brazil, Nelson now makes his home in Westchester County with wife Molly, of more than 30 years, and their two Welsh Terriers Joe and Hattie. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida (USF) where he served in student government and various other organizations. He remains active with USF, the Sigma Chi Fraternity, where he sponsors various scholarships, served as a board member at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Charities, and is an avid supporter of Statement Arts.A Message from Northeast Regional Director, Nelson Gaertner, Jr: The Northeast Region of Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Division includes locations from Philadelphia, PA to Bangor, Maine.
