ABOUT NELLY EL-SAKKARY
Senior Research Scientist, specializing in genetics, RNA biology. 10 years of experience in molecular biology including small molecule drug screening, high-content imaging, RNA-Seq, gene expression profiling, qPCR, biomarker identification, protein expression and purification, in vitro and in vivo assays and confocal imaging. Skilled in the use of chemical and genetic approaches to perform gene expression profiling (GEP) and identify markers of drug efficacy. Interned at UCSD’s tech transfer office (Office of Innovation and Commercialization) in the marketing department and was the Vice Chair of the UCSD Postdoc Association (PDA) Exposure to Industry (EIP, 20••••21) program and the Chair of the UCSD PDA. My goal is to develop treatments and tools to improve human health.
