Trauma Liaison Educator @Riverside Health

As a Trauma Liaison Educator with Hand in Hand, the hospital’s Violence Intervention Program, this role focuses on supporting medical providers in delivering trauma-informed, trauma-responsive care for patients affected by intentional violence. Beyond patient care, the work also promotes trauma-informed practices and wellness among staff, helping providers sustain their own well-being while continuing to offer compassionate care. Community engagement is another key aspect, providing education on trauma, violence prevention, and resilience-building to promote healing and safety. This work helps bridge the gap between healthcare and community support through awareness, education, and health-centered practices.
