As third-generation President and Dealer/Operator of Davenport Autopark, I am dedicated to continuing the tradition of service to others that began with my grandfather, David Davenport, in 1929, and has been demonstrated to me all my life by my father and mentor, Joe Nelson. I hope to pass these same values on to my son as he is being groomed to carry the Davenport torch well into the future. Davenport Autopark in Rocky Mount offers the area’s largest selection of new and pre-owned vehicles, all in one location. In addition, each year Davenport honors local First Responders (“Hometown Heroes”) with a special luncheon and recognizes a “Teacher of the Year” and a lucky United Way contributor each with a new car for a year!This same commitment to service applies to our customers as well as our community.
